MLA sports competition will be organized in all the assemblies of the state. This will give the players a platform as well as an opportunity for new talents to perform their best. The growing e-culture (electronic culture) among the youth should be changed to p-culture (playground culture). This was said by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami while taking a review meeting of the game changer schemes of the Youth Welfare Department in the Secretariat on Thursday.
The Chief Minister said that the youth should be connected to sports at the local level. For the physical and mental development of the youth, they should be given training in adventure sports activities, pre-recruitment training in the army, paramilitary and police forces. For their better future, counseling centers should be set up and they should be guided on education, employment and other aspects. Regular awareness programs should be conducted to prevent drug addiction among the youth.
The Chief Minister said that along with making maximum use of all the sports assets of the department, special attention should be paid to their maintenance. Along with sports activities, local cultural activities should also be organized in all the multipurpose halls of the state. He directed to provide maximum facilities along with good training to the players who perform well. He also directed the Chief Secretary to regularly review the game changer schemes. CS will review the action plan made to improve the schemes running earlier at his level. Due to which the schemes will be implemented on the ground in a better way and eligible persons will get maximum benefit.
Vice Chairman Infrastructure Monitoring Development Council Vishwas Dabur, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan,
Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, R Meenakshi Sundaram, Special Chief Secretary Amit Sinha, Director Sports Prashant Arya and departmental officers were present in the meeting.
