According to the SIPRI report, countries around the world are constantly upgrading their air capabilities to maintain strategic advantage and establish themselves as leading air forces. America has the largest air force in the world. America has 14,486 military aircraft, out of which 5,057 are with the Air Force, 5,714 with the Army, 2438 with the Navy and 1,277 with the Marines and other forces.

2. Russia

Russia has the second largest air force in the world. Russia has 4,211 military aircraft. Of these, 3,908 are with the Air Force and 303 with the Navy.

3. China

China has the third largest air force in the world. China has 3304 military aircrafts. Of these, 2,010 are with the Air Force, 859 with the Army and 435 with the Navy.

4. India

India has the fourth largest air force in the world. India has 2,296 military aircrafts. Of these, 1,776 are with the Air Force, 267 with the Army and 253 with the Navy.

5. Japan

Japan has the fifth largest air force in the world. Japan has 1,459 military aircrafts. Of these, 750 are with the Air Force, 410 with the Army and 299 with the Navy.
