Indian team head coach and former BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has received death threats from terrorist organization ISIS Kashmir.

After this, Gautam Gambhir contacted the police and demanded immediate action. According to the SHO of Rajendra Nagar Police Station and DCP of Central Delhi, Gambhir formally requested to register an FIR.

Let us tell you that Gautam Gambhir urged the law enforcement officials to take necessary steps to ensure the safety of his family and close ones. Delhi Police will investigate the matter considering the seriousness of the threat and will take appropriate steps for the safety of Gautam and his close ones.

When did he receive the threatening emails?

It has been reported that Gautam Gambhir received two threatening emails on April 22. One came in the afternoon and the other in the evening. Both the emails had the message ‘I kill you’ written in them. By the way, this is not the first time that Gambhir has received such threats. In November 2021, when Gambhir was serving as an MP, he also received such an email.

Condemnation of Pahalgam attack

Recall that Gautam Gambhir condemned the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir. On Tuesday, terrorists opened fire on tourists in the Byasaran Valley in Pahalgam. During this, 26 civilians were killed, including two foreigners. It became one of the most horrific incidents after the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a hit squad of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET), has claimed responsibility for the attack. Gambhir strongly condemned the attack and wrote on his social media handle, ‘Prayers for the families of the deceased. Those responsible for this will have to pay the price. India will strike.’

Cricketers’ reactions on Pahalgam attack

Along with Gautam Gambhir, many other Indian cricketers condemned the Pahalgam terror attack. These include legendary cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Tendulkar wrote, ‘The victim families must be going through unimaginable pain. People in India and around the world are with them in this difficult time. We pay tribute to those who lost their lives in this attack and pray for justice.

Virat Kohli posted, ‘Deepest condolences to the victim families. I pray for the families of those who lost their lives in this cowardly attack and pray that the family gets the strength to bear the grief.’
