After which panic spread throughout the city.The intensity of these tremors has been measured 6.2 on the Richter scale. The tremors of the earthquake were so strong that the windows and doors of the houses started shaking vigorously. The most surprising part of this earthquake was that all this happened during a live TV. CNN Turkey news anchor Meltem Bozbeyoglu was reading the news, when suddenly the ground started shaking.

It was clearly visible in the cameras that she got nervous for a few seconds, but still she did not lose her patience. She kept calm and continued reading the news, which shows her professional attitude.

During the earthquake, the anchor said live on-air – ‘A very strong earthquake is coming right now. Strong tremors are being felt in Istanbul.’ The video of this emotion of the female anchor quickly went viral on the internet. This video has been shared on X by @nexta_tv, which has received more than 1 lakh views.

Where was the epicenter of the earthquake?

According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Marmara Sea, 40 kilometers southwest of Istanbul. The US Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed that the earthquake occurred at a depth of just 10 kilometers from the ground.
