A woman was murdered in a room of a house in Elaichipur village of Tranica City police station area in Ghaziabad district’s Loni on Thursday. The body was wrapped in a blanket and the door was locked from outside.
It was told that the neighbors informed the landlord when the smell came. On getting the information, the police also reached the spot and called the forensic team. During this, the police and forensic team collected evidence and sent the body for postmortem.
At the same time, investigation revealed that the woman was living here with a man. The person is absconding and the mobile is switched off. The police has started action by informing the woman’s family.
Information given when the smell came from the room
According to the police, on Thursday morning, the neighbors informed the landlord Barkat Shah of Delhi when a smell came from a room in Elaichipur village of Tranica City police station area. When the information was received by Tranica City police station, they also reached the spot. The room on the first floor of the house was locked from outside. When they broke the lock and went inside, they saw that the body of a woman was wrapped in a blanket. There was a foul smell.
Police investigation revealed that the deceased woman is 40-year-old Krishna Devi, who after her husband’s death remarried and lived with her three children in a colony in Harsh Vihar police station area of Delhi. She was living separately from her family with Imran, who was living on rent in Elaichipur village for about two and a half years.
Police did not find the woman’s mobile at the spot. Police have informed the woman’s three children and family members living in Delhi. The man Imran and his uncle are absconding. Police have sent the body for postmortem. Postmortem could not be done on Thursday.
Woman was last seen on 22nd
Police got information from neighbors during investigation that the woman was last seen by people going to the room after taking a bath at around 11 am on 22nd April. After this, the woman did not come out. Whereas Imran was last seen on Wednesday morning at 6 am. Since then the room is locked. His mobile is switched off. Police suspects him.
Identification through letter
A letter dated October 14, 2022 was found by the police from the deceased. The letter was written to the Harsh Vihar police station in-charge. In which it is written. The woman had complained to the police about being harassed by the elder son. The police have taken the letter in their possession and included it in the investigation. Investigation has started on all points.
The body of the woman has been found in a closed room. The woman was living here with a man. The person is absconding and the mobile is switched off. The police have sent the body for post-mortem. In the preliminary investigation, it appears to be a murder. The post-mortem report is awaited. The relatives have been informed.
