Uttarakhand: Departmental officers will be put on duty for verification for Chardham Yatra, immediate action will be taken on spreading fake news – Dhami

Chardham Yatra is starting in Uttarakhand from 30th April. Due to which the departmental officers are finalizing the arrangements. In this sequence, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with the District Magistrates. During the meeting, CM Dhami directed to keep the security arrangements tight at the religious and tourist places of the state. In view of the Chardham Yatra, he also directed to pay special attention to the security arrangements. Also, the District Magistrate was instructed to keep constant monitoring in his districts. Instructions have been given to emphasize the verification campaign in the state, for which the duty of departmental officers will be put in the verification campaign.
Immediate action on running fake news
CM Dhami said that immediate action should be taken against those who run fake news through all mediums during the Chardham Yatra and in other important matters and directed the District Magistrate to share the correct information through all mediums. The CM said that action should be taken as per rules against those who do not get the tenants verified in the state. Verification of those living in the theli, phad and slums should also be done. Strict action should also be taken against those who give ration card, Aadhar card, electricity connection, Ayushman card and other documents to ineligible people.
Action if found involved in forest fire incidents
The District Magistrates of the districts should put the officers of all departments on duty for verification. Along with this, special attention should be given to forest fire management and strict action should be taken against those found involved in forest fire incidents. Instructions were given to complete all the necessary arrangements for effective control of dengue. Asked to run awareness campaigns along with fogging from time to time to prevent dengue. Gave instructions not to roster electricity in hospitals and to keep the electricity and water arrangements smooth in the state during summer. The CM said that in view of the upcoming Kainchi Dham annual festival, adequate arrangements for parking should be ensured along with better condition of the roads.
Instructions given to conduct surprise inspection
The Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrates to conduct surprise inspection of departmental offices from time to time. Due to which the arrangements will remain correct and the public problems will also be resolved quickly. Multipurpose camps, Tehsil Diwas and BDC meetings should be held regularly. The progress of smart meters should be monitored regularly. Complaints of electricity bills should be taken seriously. Immediate action should be taken against those who damage government property.
Emphasis laid on providing basic facilities for devotees
The CM further said that special attention should be paid to the fact that tenders up to Rs 10 crore should be given to local contractors only. The District Magistrate should also maintain constant communication with the people associated with the industry. The Chief Minister has also given instructions to achieve the target by giving targets to all the districts to promote the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme. The Chief Minister said that in view of the Chardham Yatra, special attention should be paid to traffic management and keeping the roads in good condition. Local operators of horses and mules should be given priority for the Chardham Yatra. Special attention should be paid to cleanliness and beautification along with all the basic facilities for the devotees on the Chardham Yatra route. By checking the rate list on the travel routes, it should be ensured that there is no complaint of over-rating.
