Pakistani army continuously firing on LoC, Indian soldier martyred

Pakistan has been restless since Operation Sindoor. Due to which it has been continuously violating the ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) for the past few days. The Pakistani army is continuously firing on the LoC. In which the brave soldier of the Indian Army, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar was martyred. He was part of the fifth field regiment deployed in the Poonch sector.

The White Knight Corps paid tribute to him on X and wrote, “GOC and all ranks of the White Knight Corps salute the supreme sacrifice of Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar. We stand with the victims of the attacks on innocent civilians in Poonch.”
“Going on a mission…”, last call before martyrdom
Dinesh had called a friend before going on his duty. He said, “Going on a mission, whatever happens….” But who knew that this would be his last words. He was martyred in heavy firing by Pakistan on the night of 7 May.
Pakistan is also targeting the innocents
Pakistani firing is not only targeting the soldiers but also the innocents. 14-year-old Ayan and 12-year-old Aruba, who were brother and sister living in Kalani village of Poonch district, were killed in the firing. Apart from this, 7-year-old Maryam Khatoon and 13-year-old Vihaan Bhargava also lost their lives. So far, news of the death of 15 people including children is coming out in Poonch.
Emergency control room in many districts of Kashmir
In view of the seriousness of the situation, the District Emergency Operation Center (DEOC) has been activated in Srinagar. It will work round the clock and everything needed will be available in it. Similar control rooms have been set up in 10 districts of Kashmir. So that quick action can be taken if the situation worsens.
Army is evacuating people
The Indian Army, police and local administration have started evacuating the elderly, women and children from the border villages and taking them to safe places. People are being rescued in army trucks. At the same time, schools and colleges have been closed in many parts of Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Samba and Jammu districts of Jammu division. Schools have also been locked in some places in Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora of Kashmir.
