For this we have to make our youth “future-ready”. In this direction, we have signed agreements with various industries and corporate institutions to encourage internships and industry linked courses. Along with this, we have set up incubation centers to promote startups and innovation, so that entrepreneurship can be developed among the youth. Our aim is that our youth should not only become job seekers but also job givers.
New education policy is employment oriented and practical – Chief Minister
The Chief Minister said that education and culture are the two most valuable gifts of human life, which not only shape his thinking, but also have the ability to change both the direction and condition of life. The person in whom both these qualities are developed, is useful not only for his family but also for the society and the nation. With the guidance and cooperation of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our government is trying to continuously improve the education system of the state. Keeping in mind the importance of education, our government took a quick decision and implemented the “New Education Policy” for the first time in the country. Through this policy, an attempt has been made to make the education system employment oriented and practical.
Proud to be a soldier’s son – Chief Minister
The Chief Minister said that we are proud that we come from the brave land of Uttarakhand where every family has at least one member in the army, I myself am also a son of a soldier. As you all know, our brave army has given a befitting reply to the cowardly terrorist attack by the enemy in Pahalgam. Whenever Mother India has called upon her sons, the heroes of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand have sacrificed their blood to protect the motherland. Many of your family members may also be serving in the Indian Army, some may be stationed at snow-covered inaccessible posts, while some may be protecting Mother India in the scorching desert. But we too, while staying at our respective places, have to make vigilance, dedication and service-spirit a part of our lives like a soldier.
Because the unity and integrity of the nation is not protected only by staying at the borders but is also demonstrated by our thoughts and deeds.
Praise for the institutions associated with the saint tradition
The Chief Minister said that Guru Ram Rai University is not just a university but is also the flag bearer of a vibrant, historical and cultural tradition. Because in the institutions associated with the saint tradition, not only degrees are provided, but equal importance is also given to the overall development of culture, thoughts and life values. The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of happiness that Pujya Shri Maharaj Ji has constructed a very well-organized helipad here, this helipad located in the middle of the city will provide convenience to the general public and will also ensure quick assistance in emergency situations. It is also a matter of great joy that a modern cancer hospital is also being constructed near the university campus, this hospital will prove to be very important for the people of the state in fighting serious diseases like cancer.
