The way is clear for the reinstatement of 10,709 ANMs in Bihar, Patna High Court took a big decision

The way has been cleared for the reinstatement of more than ten thousand ANMs in Bihar. Patna High Court has taken a big decision in this matter. A division bench headed by Chief Justice K Vinod Chandran has given this decision. Due to this order of the court, there is a wave of happiness among the candidates for the post of ANM who are waiting for reinstatement. According to the information, the court in its decision has ordered reinstatement of the candidates on the basis of their marks. The hearing on the government’s appeal in this case was completed on 18 April 2024. The court reserved its decision. This big and important decision was given by the Patna High Court on Monday.

According to the information, the process for appointment of ANM in Bihar was started in 2022. In this advertisement, advertisement number 7/2022 was published on July 28, 2022 for the appointment of about ten thousand ANMs. According to this, apart from other qualifications, Bihar Technical Service Commission was to appoint them on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates. But Bihar Technical Service Commission changed the earlier advertisement on 19 September 2023.

According to the changes brought in the reinstatement process, all the candidates will have to appear in the examination conducted by the Commission. This was challenged in Patna High Court. After hearing all the parties, the court had canceled the notice dated September 19, 2023 for the appointment process by Bihar Technical Service Commission and directed that ANMs should be appointed on the basis of marks obtained. But the order of the single bench was challenged in the Patna High Court.

This was heard by a division bench headed by Chief Justice KV Chandran. After finally completing the hearing, the decision was reserved on 18 April 2024. The court gave the same decision. The court clarified that the appointment of ANMs in the state should be done on the basis of marks obtained by them as before. The court ordered the state government

Justice Mohit Shah dismissed the appeals challenging the order and upheld the single bench order and directed recruitment on the basis of marks.
