Jharkhand: Police achieved a big success! 4 cyber thugs arrested, 1 car and 17 mobile phones along with many other items recovered
The police of Jamtara Cyber police station has succeeded in arresting four cunning fraudsters by raiding four places in the district. These include two real brothers from Amdih village of Chitra police station area of Deoghar district.
All were committing fraud for the last three-four years. All have confessed their crime during interrogation. This information was given by Cyber DSP Ashok Kumar Ram in a press conference held in his office on Sunday.
Police conducted raids based on information
He said that after receiving the information, raids were conducted in Pandeydih of Jamtara police station area and Baradha and Upar Bhithara village of Karamatand along with police station in-charge Abdul Rehman and other policemen. 36-year-old Bimal Kumar Rai and 29-year-old Kamal Rai were arrested from Pandeydih.
Both are real brothers and originally residents of Amdih village of Chitra police station area of Deoghar district. Currently living in a house in Pandeydih. A four-wheeler has also been seized from them.
They were arrested
35-year-old Asraf Ansari from Baradaha village of Karamatand police station area and Irshad Ansari from Upar Bhithara village have been arrested. Mobile, fake SIM, passbook, chequebook, Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter card, four-wheeler have been seized from these people.
An FIR has been lodged against these people in Jamtara Cyber Crime Police Station. The accused have been sent to jail.
The following items were recovered:
Mobile 17, fake SIM 22, ATM cards nine, passbooks two, chequebooks two, PAN cards five, Aadhaar cards two, voter card one, four-wheeler etc. By telling people that their SBI credit-debit card is closed and by downloading screen sharing app on their mobile, they used to take all kinds of confidential information of the card and commit fraud.
Along with this, by putting number as customer care number of Google Pay and Phone Pay, they used to get calls from the consumers and download mobile pay sharing app on the pretext of solving their problems.
They used Telugu language
DSP told that all of them used Telugu language for fraud. Irshad is expert in speaking Telugu. Apart from Jharkhand, Bihar, all of them used to cheat people of Maharashtra, Telangana etc.
In the raiding team, apart from Deputy Superintendent of Police, Police Station in-charge, there were Abdul Ghani, Abhay Kumar Mishra, Sunil Hansda, Deepak Soren, Ranjit Das etc.
