Although Vijay Shah did not name anyone. But the context of the statement was related to Colonel Sofia Qureshi. Due to which there was an uproar. The special thing was that Union Minister Savitri Thakur and MLA Usha Thakur were also present on this stage. But no one raised any objection to the statement.

Sharp counterattack by the opposition

Congress surrounded the BJP by posting the video of this statement on social media. The party wrote, “The brave daughters of our army have been called the sisters of terrorists. This is an insult to not just a female officer but the Indian Army.” Congress asked questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP, whether Vijay Shah will be expelled from the party or will this statement also be ignored as usual?

Aam Aadmi Party also raised questions

RJD also tweeted and questioned the thinking of BJP. They said, “When a minister calls the daughter of the army ‘sister of Pakistanis’. Then what is the difference between Sanghi thinking and terrorist thinking?”

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also demanded strict action against Minister Vijay Shah and wrote that this statement is a direct insult to the brave women of the army.

One user wrote, “The one who is insulting the daughter of the country, his removal from BJP will be the real patriotism.” Another user said, “These are the same people who talk about nationalism when the army is trusted. When they get a chance, they target those very brave soldiers.”

However, in the midst of this entire controversy, Vijay Shah has now apologized. He said that since the killings in Pahalgam, my mind is disturbed. Many people in the entire family have been in the army. Also, some have been martyred. If I have said something with a sad heart, then I am ready to apologize 10 times. She is my sister.
