A tragic incident has come to light on the Kedarnath Yatra route. A devotee was found unconscious near Tharo Camp, who later died. The local resident informed the DDRF and YMF’s Lincholi team about the unconscious person, after which both the teams reached the spot and immediately started the rescue operation.

On receiving the information, the rescue team reached the spot and took the person to the Badi Lincholi health center for first aid, but by then the devotee had died. Doctors’ investigation revealed that the unconscious person had died on the way.
Died before reaching the health center
The deceased has been identified as Ummaheshwar Venkat Avadhani (61), a resident of Andhra Pradesh. At present, the cause of his death is not clearly known. The administration has appealed to the travelers to take full care of health related precautions.
