Uttarakhand: Bumper recruitment in banking sector, know full details

There is good news for the unemployed youth of the state. Soon 177 posts are going to be recruited in the cooperative banks of the state through IBPS, an undertaking of the Government of India. The Cooperative Minister has given his approval to this recruitment proposal. He has instructed the departmental officials to expedite the recruitment process and issue recruitment advertisement soon.
Bumper recruitment will be done soon in cooperative banks
The Cooperative Minister of the state, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, said that under the Cooperative Department, recruitment will be done soon on a total of 177 vacant posts of class-1, 2 and 3 of District Cooperative Banks and State Cooperative Banks. Under class-1, there are 8 posts of Senior Branch Manager, under class-2 there are 65 posts of Junior Branch Manager and under class-3 there are 104 posts of Clerk/Cashier.
Responsibility of examination given to IBPS
The minister said that the state government has entrusted the responsibility to the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to make this recruitment process transparent and effective. He said that the central undertaking IBPS has done recruitment in the cooperative department twice in a transparent manner. IBPS is the only institution of the Government of India which recruits personnel of nationalized banks.
The minister gave instructions to issue recruitment advertisement
Uttarakhand is the first state in the country which has chosen this institution for the recruitment of personnel of cooperative bank so that recruitment can be done in a transparent manner and eligible youth can get a chance. He has instructed the departmental officers to speed up the recruitment process and soon issue its recruitment advertisement through IBPS. The minister said that the objective of this recruitment is to fill the vacant posts in cooperative banks and increase their efficiency.
Performance of cooperative banks is improving in Uttarakhand
The minister said that the performance of cooperative banks in the state is continuously improving. Most of the cooperative banks are in a profitable position and the NPA of the banks has also reduced considerably. He said that financial transactions in district cooperative and state government banks are increasing rapidly as compared to earlier. Like private and nationalized banks, banking facilities have also been increased in cooperative banks. The minister said that new ATMs have been opened at various places.
The minister said that services are being provided through mobile ATM vans on the Chardham Yatra route, tourist places and remote areas. Apart from this, net banking facility is also being provided to the consumers by the banks. Along with this, banks are also focusing on other banking facilities. Due to which the trust of consumers on cooperative banks is increasing. Loans are also being made available to consumers at easy rates in cooperative banks. Apart from this, the benefit of various cooperative schemes is also being given to the common people through banks.
