In the war-like situation with Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken a big decision. PM Netanyahu has postponed his son’s wedding. According to a report in the Times of Israel, Netanyahu’s son Avner Netanyahu was to marry Amit Yardeni on Monday. This is not the first time that Avner and Yardeni’s wedding has been obstructed, even before this the wedding has been postponed due to the situation in Israel.

There was displeasure with the wedding

Some anti-government people were also angry with the wedding of Benjamin Netanyahu’s son. They also condemned the Netanyahu family for organizing the ceremony despite the presence of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip. Apart from this, when the Netanyahu family was preparing for the big celebration, Israel launched a big attack against Iran on Friday. Iran also retaliated by firing missiles at Israel, after which an emergency-like situation arose in Israel.

Opposition organizations had warned

The wedding of PM Netanyahu’s son Avner has become a matter of controversy in Israel. In recent weeks, several anti-government organizations had also warned that they would protest near the wedding venue at the upscale Ronit’s Farm Event Hall in Kibbutz Yakum, north of Tel Aviv. This was the place where Avner and Yardeni were to get married.

Police had made tight security arrangements

Meanwhile, amid security concerns, Israeli police had installed iron barriers and barbed wire fencing within a radius of 100 meters of the venue. According to the Times of Israel report, earlier this week it was also announced that the airspace within a radius of 1.5 kilometers of the venue would be closed except for police helicopters. For now, the wedding ceremony has been postponed.
