Uttarakhand: CM Dhami honored the medal winners on International Olympic Day

On International Olympic Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored the players who won medals for the state. The event was held on Monday at the Multipurpose Hall of Parade Ground.
The state will get 23 new academies under the Sports Legacy Plan
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in his address that international sports competitions are also being organized in Uttarakhand now. Soon the state is going to get 23 new academies under the Sports Legacy Plan. The CM said that the number of participating players from India has increased continuously in both the Olympic Games held during the time of the BJP’s central government.
The minister counted the achievements of the government
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that the state government has worked to ensure the bright future of the players through four percent reservation in government jobs, out of turn job on winning medals and Khiladi Protsahan Yojana. Rekha Arya said that the dream of making Devbhoomi a sports land can be realized only when we develop such a sports culture that a player is born from every house here.
CM administered the Olympic Day oath to all the participants
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that under the leadership of PM Modi, the country is preparing to organize the 2036 Olympics. On this occasion, we all have to take a pledge that as many athletes as possible from Uttarakhand can participate in this Olympics and accordingly, preparations have to be started from now. Chief Minister Dhami administered the Olympic Day oath to all the participants.
