Uttarakhand’s PCS officer Nidhi Yadav has been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Although she was to be promoted earlier in relation to the vacancy of 2021, but due to the vigilance investigation, Nidhi Yadav could not get IAS cadre. In such a situation, now the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has finally ordered the promotion of Nidhi Yadav.
The long wait for PCS officer Nidhi Yadav’s promotion to IAS cadre is over. Actually, the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has now ordered the promotion of Nidhi Yadav. Nidhi Yadav has been allotted the 2017 batch by the DOPT. The PCS officers with her had already been promoted to IAS, but Nidhi Yadav was currently waiting for it.
PCS officer Nidhi Yadav’s envelope was kept closed during the earlier DPC. The reason behind this was the vigilance investigation that was going on against her. Nidhi Yadav was accused of having more assets than she earned. After which the government had ordered an inquiry into her vigilance. However, after investigating the matter, the Vigilance gave her a clean chit. After this, the way for her promotion was also cleared.
After getting a clean chit from the Vigilance, the Uttarakhand Personnel Department sent information related to this to UPSC and DoPT. On the other hand, DoPT had also asked for some forms related to this in the past, which were sent by the Personnel Department. Similarly, there was communication between the Personnel Department and DoPT several times. After completing all the necessary formalities, DoPT has issued an order related to promotion.
In terms of seniority, Nidhi Yadav has been allotted the 2017 batch. She will be in seniority after Vinod Giri Goswami. Currently, Nidhi Yadav has been handling the responsibility of Director of Panchayati Raj for a long time. On the other hand, after getting promotion to IAS, she can also get some other responsibilities.
