Stock market at historic high, Sensex crosses 54 thousand mark for the first time – Nifty also has a long jump

Indian stock market has now reached a new height. On Wednesday, the third trading day of the week, the Sensex crossed the level of 54 thousand points. This is the first time the Sensex has achieved this success.

With this, Nifty is also trading at new highs. During the early trade, the Sensex gained about 400 points and remained at the level of 54,200 points. Talking about Nifty, it was trading above 16,200 points.
Tata Steel is the top gainer in the 30 stocks of the BSE index. At the same time, the stocks of HDFC, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Reliance, HDFC Bank, PowerGrid, Kotak Bank, NTPC, Mahindra, L&T were also strong. Top losers include Airtel, SBI, HUL and Sun Pharma.

On Tuesday too, many new records were set in the stock markets. The Sensex closed at a record high with a gain of 873 points. NSE Nifty also closed above 16,000 mark for the first time. Investors’ wealth increased by Rs 2.30 lakh crore in the stock market. At the same time, the market capitalization of companies listed on BSE reached an all-time high of 2,40,04,664.28.

According to experts, the bulls have pushed the Nifty above the 16,000 mark on the basis of better data on GST and exports. Besides, domestic institutional investors have infused Rs 280 billion in the first four months of the current financial year. Because of this, the market has been seeing a boom for some time now.
