Uttarakhand: Sports Minister inaugurated the table tennis court, players started regular practice

Sports Minister Rekha Arya on Tuesday inaugurated the state-of-the-art table tennis court complex in the auditorium located at the Parade Ground. This facility was started with the cooperation of the Sports Department and Veteran Table Tennis players.

Sports Minister Rekha Arya said in her address that the table tennis players of Dehradun have now got a complex equipped with modern facilities to practice regularly and organize competitions. The minister said that after this facility, more players will emerge in table tennis and the representation of Uttarakhand will increase in national and international competitions.
Players start regular practice
The minister said that earlier this hall was a badminton court. But later badminton was shifted to the new multipurpose hall. Minister Rekha Arya said that after this the Sports Department decided to prepare this hall for Judo and Table Tennis. Now 6 tables of table tennis have been installed here along with Judo. Players often practice on these tables in the morning and children and youth in the evening.
