Cloudburst occurred at 17 places in Himachal Pradesh on Monday night. 15 cloudbursts occurred in Mandi district, while one cloudburst occurred in Kullu and Kinnaur districts. 24 people were washed away along with about eight houses in the flood caused by cloudburst at night in Kuklah in Thunag subdivision. 9 bodies were found on Tuesday evening, while 21 people are missing. Two houses were washed away with nine people due to cloudburst in Syanj of Gohar subdivision on Monday night. Bodies of two of them have been found. Six people were buried under a house that collapsed in Bara. Four of them were rescued, while the bodies of two have been recovered. Two people trapped in Bassi were rescued, while two members of the same family are missing due to the house being washed away in Parwada. One body has been recovered. Four people are missing from Purana Bazar Negli bridge due to cloudburst in Karsog, while one body has been recovered. Six houses have been damaged here.
The NDRF has started a search operation to find the missing people. About two dozen people have been rescued from the Tikri project. Eight people trapped due to house collapse in Kelodhar were rescued. A car was washed away at Lassi Mor and four cattle at Rail Chowk. A 16 MW power project in Patikri was also washed away in the flood. There is no trace of it left. Seven people got stuck on the river bank in Kutti Nala of Karsog subdivision on Monday night. They were rescued safely by NDRF teams. Apart from this, an injured person was also rescued. Seven people were rescued safely from Rikki village in Karsog Imala Khad. Seven people were also rescued from Karsog bypass. 12 students and four women were rescued from Karsog College. Due to floods, there has been heavy damage in all these places.
On Monday night, there was panic among the people throughout the night as the water of Beas river entered Mandi city. Pandoh market had to be evacuated at night due to waterlogging. NH has been completely closed due to cloudburst in Karsha Nala in Ani Baihna of Kullu. Cloudburst has also occurred in Kharogla of Sangla tehsil in Kinnaur. At the same time, a young man died in a road accident due to fog in Chamba, while in Kangra, the body of a woman was found under the under-construction bridge near Panchayat Ghurkal near Beas Bridge Nadaun. Two houses and five cowsheds were damaged after the cloudburst incident in Syathi village of Dharampur subdivision. An unidentified body was found in Neri Kotla in Jogindernagar subdivision. In the Sadar subdivision, 56 people were rescued due to waterlogging and heavy rains in Palace Colony, Tarna and Diet Mandi in Mandi city.

Flights cancelled in Kangra and Kullu, one flight reached Gaggal

51 people stranded due to waterlogging in Sujanpur rescued
51 people were stranded due to waterlogging in Ballah village of Sujanpur subdivision of Hamirpur district due to increased water level of Beas river, who were rescued after five hours. Industrial area Naidun is flooded. Many roads including the under-construction Hamirpur-Mandi NH are obstructed. Hundreds of drinking water schemes operated from Beas river and other ravines in the district including Hamirpur city have come to a halt. Blackout has occurred due to damage to electricity poles.
Orange alert for four days of heavy rain
There is a forecast of continuous rain in Himachal for six days. Out of these, orange alert for heavy rain has been issued for four days, while there is a yellow alert for two days. Meteorological Center Shimla has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Solan, Sirmaur and Kangra on Wednesday, while yellow alert will remain in other districts. Yellow alert has been issued in the entire state on July 3 and 4. Orange alert for heavy rain has been issued in most places from July 5 to 7. There is a possibility of flood in some areas of Mandi, Kullu, Hamirpur, Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan districts during the next 24 hours. At the same time, there is a possibility of normal rain in some parts of the state and more than normal rain in some.
406 roads, 171 water schemes stalled in Himachal
Due to natural disaster in Himachal, 406 roads have been closed. 171 water schemes have come to a complete standstill. The maximum number of roads are closed in Mandi district (248), Kangra (55), Kullu (37), Shimla (32), Sirmaur (21), Chamba (6), Hamirpur, Una (4), Solan (2), Hamirpur and Kinnaur (1 each). There is a blackout in many areas of Himachal due to 1515 power transformers being out of order.
