The report is still awaited regarding the heli accident on the Kedarnath route in Rudraprayag district. However, DGCA has completed the audit of Kedarnath heli service. Which will be shared with the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Department and on this basis some important steps will also be taken in future.

The challenge of flying in hilly areas: When the summit related to the heli service to be held across the country started from Uttarakhand, the most discussed topic was about preparing guidelines for heli service in hilly states. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself also put this point in front of everyone from the stage. Actually, safe air service has been a big issue in hilly states like Uttarakhand, especially the safety of flying in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand has been a big concern. This is also because many accidents have happened in this valley and flying here has been very dangerous.

Helicopter accidents in Kedar Valley: Last month in June, Kedar Valley witnessed a major accident, where 7 people lost their lives during a helicopter crash. Although orders were given to investigate the matter immediately after the accident, but till now its investigation has not been completed. For this accident, the DGCA team from the Center also reached Rudraprayag and tried to find out the cause of the accident by inspecting the spot. Since then, this report is being awaited so that it can be clear what was the cause of the accident. In this case, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of the Center is investigating and the report of this accident is also to be given by it. It takes time for such a report to come, because this investigation has to be looked at very closely and technically.
