Uttarakhand: 407 cases of land law violation came to light, 154 cases registered; CM Dhami strict

The government has adopted a strict stance in cases of violation of land laws in the state. In this sequence, 407 cases of land use violation have come to the fore so far. Out of these, suit has been filed in 154, while proceedings are in progress on 147 cases. Proceedings are also in progress in the remaining cases.

Strict land laws are in force in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has clarified that strict action will be taken in cases of land law violation. Continuous action is being taken in this regard. Cognizance is being taken of such cases in which land was purchased for some other purpose but it is being used for other purposes.

In these, land purchased in the name of setting up industry, farming and gardens or opening schools was being used for other purposes. Such cases have come to the fore in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri and Almora districts.

In a case in Almora, the land has also been vested in the state government. So far a total of 3.006 hectares of land has been vested in the state government in the state. Of these, 0.40 hectares in Bageshwar, 1.65 hectares in Rudrapur, 0.55 hectares in Siltouna, Nainital and 0.758 hectares in Almora have been vested in the government.

With this, in accordance with public sentiment, uncontrolled sale of agricultural and horticultural land in Uttarakhand has been banned. Continuous action is being taken against the persons violating the provisions of the Land Act.
