Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while talking to the complainants who sent a letter to the Chief Minister’s Office and told their problems, has instructed the officials to take appropriate action on them. Karm Chand, a resident of Shergarh in Doiwala tehsil, had lodged a complaint that the irrigation canal coming to his field has broken, due to which there is a crisis of irrigation. After listening to the entire problem from him, the Chief Minister has directed the Chief Engineer Irrigation Department to take appropriate action in the matter. Similarly, Major Naresh Kumar Saklani lodged a complaint about private persons encroaching on his land and building a minor irrigation canal, on which Chief Minister Dhami has directed the District Magistrate Dehradun to take immediate action. Another complainant Dhirendra Shukla, a resident of Canal Road, has lodged a complaint of harassment against the builder, the Chief Minister has asked the MDDA to investigate the matter. The Chief Minister has also directed the Secretary Public Works Department to take action on the road related complaint of Vishan Dutt Sharma, a resident of Vikasnagar Dinkar Vihar. CM Dhami said that “Letters of the public are not just papers, they are a reflection of hope and faith, today after reading some such complaint letters, I spoke to the concerned complainants. Also, I have instructed the officials to take immediate action on them. Solution is the biggest identity of the working style of our government.

To ensure that people get full benefit of the schemes of the Central and State Government, the processes of giving loans to the beneficiaries under various schemes should be further simplified. Solving public problems should be our top priority. Special attention should be given towards simplification of insurance claim processes in agricultural insurance schemes. Special attention should be paid to increasing the credit deposit ratio in the districts. These instructions were given by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami to the officials during a special meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee in the Secretariat on Friday.
The Chief Minister said that more efforts should be made to increase the credit deposit ratio of the state. In the financial year 2024-25, the credit deposit ratio of the state has increased from 54 percent to 54.26 percent. The Chief Minister said that more effective efforts should be made to take it to 60 percent. Special attention should be given to increase the credit deposit ratio in the hilly districts of the state, especially Tehri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Almora, Pauri and Bageshwar districts. The Chief Minister said that in order to ensure that people get the benefits of public welfare schemes at one place on the same day, a large scale camp should be organized in all the districts in October, in which all the departments and bankers sit together and solve the public problems and benefit them from various schemes.
It was informed in the meeting that under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana in Uttarakhand, 48 thousand persons per lakh have received insurance coverage, which is more than the national average of 40 thousand. Under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, the average loan amount disbursed to per borrower in the state is Rs 93,900, which is much higher than the national average of 62,686. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, 39 lakh accounts have been opened in the state so far, this figure is the highest among the hill states. In the financial year 2024-25, there was an increase of 10.26 percent in advances and 9.09 percent in deposits in the state. There has been a consistent good progress in the last three years under the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Scheme and Chief Minister Swarojgar Yojana of the state government. A total of 06 lakh 10 thousand 636 farmers of the state have availed the KCC facility, out of which 67 percent are small and marginal farmers. 70.23 percent of the self-help groups in the state have credit linkage. In the last three years, the number of SHGs has increased by 21 percent.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Nitesh Kumar Jha, Radhika Jha, Sridhar Babu Adanki, RBI Regional Director Arvind Kumar, SBI Chief General Manager Devashish Mishra, Additional Secretary Ranjana Rajguru, Himanshu Khurana, Manmohan Mainali and officials of the concerned banks were present in the meeting.
