The 3-day long operation of Baloch rebel group Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) against the Pakistani army named Operation BAM is now over. BLF claimed that from July 9 to July 11, it attacked 84 bases of the Pakistani army, including IED blasts. During this, at least 50 soldiers of the Pakistani army were killed and more than 51 are seriously injured.
According to the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), apart from the Pakistani army, BLF killed 9 agents of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies Military Intelligence (MI) and ISI in its attack. BLF claimed that during Operation BAM, Baloch fighters set fire to 7 mobile towers and their machinery and temporary checkposts were set up at 22 strategic locations to stop the activities of the Pakistani army.
Operation BAM lasted for 72 hours
Apart from this, BLF also destroyed 24 mineral carrying trucks and gas tankers in Operation BAM which lasted for 72 hours. Along with this, more than five surveillance drones and quadcopters were shot down, damaging Pakistan’s surveillance system. According to BLF, out of its 84 attacks, more than 30 were directly carried out on the Pakistani Army and Border Security Force personnel, while 2 attacks were carried out on Pakistani intelligence agencies. Apart from this, 4 attacks were carried out by BLF through ambush and one attack each was carried out on Customs and Coast Guard. Also, 4 attacks were carried out on levy checkposts and 4 attacks were carried out on police posts.
In which areas was this operation carried out?
According to BLF, its fighters also seized weapons of Pakistani forces at more than 4 places, which also included automatic machine guns. This entire operation was carried out in areas like Makran, Rekhshan, Kolwa, Saravan, Jhalawan, Koh-e-Sulaiman, Bela and Kachhi of Balochistan. BLF claimed that the government and army of Pakistan were continuously looting the wealth of Balochistan, due to which the Baloch fighters carried out this attack.
BLF declared that now Pakistan cannot continue to loot the wealth of Balochistan and the Punjabi government and its powerful army can no longer suppress the Baloch nation. Calling the Pakistani army a symbol of colonial exploitation, BLF said that now the Baloch people are not going to be misled by false democracy, hollow slogans of Islamic brotherhood and divisive tactics.
