In this direction, 17 de-watering pumps which were recently purchased for Rs 30 lakh were put in the field by District Magistrate Savin Bansal on Monday with Puja Archana.
Along with identifying the waterlogging areas of Dehradun Municipal Corporation, 12 zones have been decided. Accordingly, one pump has been deployed in each zone. Along with clarifying the status of the responsible nodal officer/department according to the zone, 30 officers have also been separately deployed to do quick work in the field.
