24 school friends missing in Uttarkashi disaster found after 35 years, no clue after Dharali incident

Many people are still missing after the massive devastation in Dharali, Uttarkashi. Rescue teams like NDRF, SDRF, Army etc. are present on the spot. But the situation is so bad that there are a lot of difficulties in removing the debris and finding the missing people. So far, the death of 6 people has been confirmed. But still more than 50 people are missing.
Among these missing people, there is also a group whose story is going viral on social media. 24 old friends from Maharashtra who met again after 34 years and went out for a walk together. They too have been caught in the Uttarkashi disaster.

24 school friends missing in Uttarkashi disaster found after 35 years
There is a school in ‘Awasi Khurd’ village of Manchar area near Pune where these 24 friends of class 10th used to study in 1990. Then everyone went their own way in life. But now after about three and a half decades, everyone together made a plan to go on Char Dham Yatra together.
On August 1, everyone left Pune and came to Uttarakhand. They had planned to return via Delhi on August 12. But everything changed as soon as they reached about 10 kilometers from Gangotri.
All friends trapped in landslide
Ashok Bhor, a member of this group, spoke to his son Aditya Aditya at around 7 pm on Monday evening. In which he told that everyone was trapped in the landslide at that time. After this, contact with the entire group was lost. No phone is reachable. All numbers are either switched off or out of network.
149 tourists from Maharashtra stranded
According to government figures, a total of 149 tourists from Maharashtra are stranded in Uttarakhand. Of these, the maximum 76 are from Mumbai, 17 from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 15 from Pune, 13 from Jalgaon, 11 from Nanded, and four each from Thane, Nashik and Solapur. Three people from Malegaon and one from Ahilyanagar are also stranded in Uttarkashi.
Out of these 149 people, there has been no contact with about 75 till now. The family members are worried. But they are still hoping that somehow everyone will be found safe.
Rescue operation intensified
The State Disaster Management Department has intensified the relief and rescue operations. Rescue teams are facing difficulties due to the challenge of weather and the condition of the roads. But efforts are being made with full vigor.
