Former MLA of Tharali in Uttarakhand and BJP leader Munni Devi Shah has passed away. She was ill for the last few days and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dehradun. Munni Devi Shah will be cremated in Karnaprayag today.
She became MLA by winning the by-election
Munni Devi Shah has been an MLA from Tharali. Her husband Magan Lal Shah was an MLA from this seat. After his death in 2018, Munni Devi Shah won the by-election. Before this, she had also been the Chamoli District Panchayat President. Born in 1971, Munni Devi Shah was also seeking a ticket in 2022 but the party did not give her a ticket. Currently, Munni Devi’s son is the President of Karnaprayag Municipality.
