The land of Prag Farm of Kichha, which has been in dispute for a long time, has now become the property of the administration. This major action was taken on Saturday under the leadership of ADM Kaustubh Mishra. This step has been taken after the special appeal was rejected by the High Court.

On November 3, 2022, the District Magistrate Court ordered that this land is vested in the state government. However, the KN Aggarwal side filed a special appeal in the High Court. Due to this, the administration could not take possession of the land.
The matter reached the High Court and on August 13, 2024, the court rejected the special appeal. That is, now legally this land has become the property of the state government. After this, the administration took possession of the land on Saturday.
The dispute of Prag Farm of Kichha is decades old
Actually this dispute of Prag Farm of Kichha is decades old. Let us tell you that the roots of this dispute go back to the British period. Actually, in the year 1933, the British government had given about 5193 acres of land of 12 villages of Kichha tehsil to Prag Narayan Agarwal on a lease of 99 years.
Prag Narayan died five years later in 1938. After this, this land was transferred to his heirs KN Agarwal and Shiv Narayan Agarwal. After independence, some part of this land, especially the land of Maharajpur and Shripur villages, was given to the displaced people. But the matter of the rest of the land remained in limbo.
Legal battle between the administration and the Agarwal family
In 1966, the government ended this lease under the Government Estate Thekedari Abolition Act. On 20 September 2014, 1972.75 acres of land of SN Agarwal party had been occupied. After this, a total of 4034.03 acres of land remained, over which a legal battle was fought between the administration and the Agarwal family.
