Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra reached Kanhapur village directly on a tractor to take stock of the areas affected by the rising water level of the Solani river. After reaching the fields, the MLA not only saw the ruined crops but also heard the problems of the farmers.

While talking to the villagers, MLA Pradeep Batra assured that all possible help will be given to the farmers whose crops have been destroyed due to river erosion and waterlogging. The MLA said that clear instructions have been given to the administration and the compensation process will be started soon as soon as the assessment of the damage is completed.

The MLA also admitted that the erosion of the Solani river has become a serious problem for the farmers of the area. In this regard, he has talked to the irrigation department and assured that the work of pitching and dam construction on the river banks will be started soon, so that in future the land and crops of the farmers can be protected from such disasters.
