For the past few days, a video of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going viral on social media. In this, she is seen sitting on a TV channel and offering investment to people. It is claimed in the video that by investing only 21,000 rupees, you will get a return of up to 6.5 lakh rupees in seven days. But has Nirmala Sitharaman really come up with such a scheme (deepfake ai video)? Let’s find out.

Invest 21000, get lakhs of rupees… Nirmala Sitharaman’s new scheme?

Let us tell you that this video is completely fake. It has been prepared with deepfake technology (deepfake ai video). The matter is not limited to the video only. A link is also given in it. By clicking on which people download an app. In the beginning, the fraudsters show them great returns on small investments.

Suppose someone invests 10 or 15 thousand in it, then he is also allowed to withdraw double the money. This builds trust and investors invest a large amount. But the real game begins only then. As soon as a large amount is deposited, neither the money is withdrawn nor the app works.

Many people have become victims

This video has caused huge losses to many people. A person from Roorkee was cheated of Rs 66 lakh. While in June, a 71-year-old man from Hyderabad lost Rs 20 lakh. A person from Mangaluru invested Rs 22 lakh considering this video to be real. Many such cases have come to light and crores of rupees have been lost so far.

How does the fraud happen?

Once someone gets trapped in this fake app, personal details are sought from him. Like phone number, Aadhaar, PAN, bank account, everything. After this, the fraudsters contact on WhatsApp and Telegram by calling themselves “financial advisors”. Gradually, they withdraw lakhs of rupees.

Government alerted

In August, the PIB Fact Check team had called this video completely fake. The team said that the Finance Minister or the government has not launched any such scheme. People have been appealed not to trust any suspicious link, video or scheme.

Actually this video has been prepared with AI technology. Which is called Deepfake. In this, the real face and voice are mixed so cleanly that the viewer gets easily deceived. This is the reason why common people consider it real.
