‘We will either be happy with Putin’s decision or…’, Trump again warned Russia

US President Donald Trump has hinted at new sanctions against Russia. He said that if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not end the war going on in Ukraine, you will see what happens.
Trump said this during a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki at the White House on Wednesday. His statement came at a time when Putin attended a military parade in Beijing along with China’s Xi Jinping and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and talked about continuing the war in Ukraine.
Trump made it clear that if Putin does not take the right steps after listening to his answer, then the US will take tough steps.
Referring to the sanctions recently imposed on India for buying Russian oil, he said that this is just the beginning. Trump said, “You don’t consider this a step? The second and third phases are yet to come.”
Talks with Zelensky and support of European leaders
Trump will talk to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on phone on Thursday. A White House official has confirmed this.
Zelensky and European leaders have already said they are looking forward to this call. Trump said, “I will talk to Zelensky soon and I will know what we have to do next.”
Some European leaders will meet face-to-face in a meeting in Paris, while some will join via video conferencing.
After this summit, there will be a phone conversation with Trump, after which there will be a press conference from France at 1 pm (GMT). All these efforts indicate that diplomatic ways are being explored to end the Ukraine war.
