I pray to Baba Kedarnath for everyone’s safe life, good health, and prosperity. I commend the dedication of all the officers, NDRF and SDRF personnel, the administration, and the workers who are serving the people in this hour of disaster, even in difficult circumstances, for their service.”
Several landslides occurred on the Badrinath Highway
MP Baluni was returning to Rishikesh after visiting the disaster-hit areas of Chamoli and Rudraprayag. His convoy was stopped in time, narrowly escaping. It’s worth noting that a new landslide zone has emerged on the Badrinath Highway during the monsoon season, near Umta, between Karnaprayag and Nandprayag.
Repeated landslides in this zone have caused significant problems. Now, the road on one side of the RCC bridge adjacent to this landslide zone is sinking, weakening the bridge’s foundation. Currently, traffic is operating on a one-way route.
