Preparations are in full swing to welcome the President and the Prime Minister; programmes are proposed on the State Foundation Day

Preparations for State Foundation Day and the proposed Silver Jubilee events of President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have intensified. On Friday, District Magistrate Savin Bansal held a meeting with officials in the Rishiparna auditorium to review the preparations. During the meeting, high-level officials were designated as nodal officers and given instructions for action.

A conference of non-resident Uttarakhandi people and the inauguration of Sainyadham are planned for State Foundation Day. The President and Prime Minister are expected to attend. The District Magistrate directed officials from PWD, MDDA, Municipal Corporation, Electricity, and Forest Departments to ensure timely beautification of the proposed route, city cleaning, and the clearing of hanging power lines and fallen trees. The Drinking Water Department was instructed to ensure smooth drinking water arrangements at the event venues. He stated that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.

The Silver Jubilee Year of the State’s Foundation Day; Uttarakhandi expatriates will gather at Doon University on the 5th, and the CM will interact.

During the Silver Jubilee week, programs will be held in the district with different themes each day, including Women’s Power Day, Good Governance Day, Youth Sports, Environment and Climate Change, Salute to Martyrs, and Historical and Cultural Heritage. He directed officials to ensure proper arrangements for all programs. Self-help groups and NRLM groups will hold an exhibition of products prepared on Women’s Power Day. Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, Divisional Forest Officer Neeraj Sharma, Additional District Magistrate KK Mishra, City Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar, and other officials were present at the meeting.
