Uttarakhand: The Chief Electoral Officer held a meeting with District Magistrates regarding the SIR (Special Summary Revision) and instructed them to establish communication with voters under the “BLO Outreach Campaign”

Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam held a review meeting with the District Magistrates of all districts via virtual mode at the Secretariat. The meeting included a detailed review of the preparations for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR), outreach to every voter at the district and ERO (Electoral Registration Officer) levels, and Booth Awareness Groups (BAGs). The CEO instructed that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) should establish contact, coordination, and communication with voters in their respective areas under the “BLO Outreach Campaign.” He directed the District Magistrates to monitor the regular visits of the BLOs and submit regular reports to the CEO’s office. The CEO also instructed that all queries from voters regarding the electoral roll received through the Voter Helpline number must be addressed promptly. He further directed that effective help desks be established at the district and ERO offices, and that the responsibilities of the officers in charge be clearly defined.
