Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while paying heartfelt tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his birth anniversary, said that Atal Ji’s personality and achievements will always inspire us.
Paying homage to him on the eve of his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said that the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a skilled administrator, a visionary politician, a popular leader, and a great orator. For him, national interest was paramount. Atal Ji was the architect of the state of Uttarakhand. He not only created the state of Uttarakhand but also laid a strong foundation for its overall development. While serving as Prime Minister, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee did the great work of laying a strong foundation for the development of Uttarakhand by granting a special industrial package along with the creation of the state.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, India carved a new identity for itself on the world stage and stepped into the 21st century with strength. He possessed a remarkable ability to unite everyone. He will always be remembered for his far-sighted vision, literary works, the Pokhran nuclear tests, and India’s victory in the Kargil War.
