Following the uproar in political circles caused by an audio clip circulating on social media related to the highly publicized Ankita Bhandari murder case, former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore appears to be facing increasing difficulties. The Bahadrabad police have issued a notice to the former MLA, directing him to appear at the police station on Saturday.
The notice asks him to present evidence regarding the viral audio clip. On Friday evening, a Bahadrabad police team went to the former MLA’s residence in Kadachh with the notice, but he was not found at home. It is worth noting that an audio recording, circulated on social media for the past four days by actress Urmila Sanawar, a resident of Saharanpur, has stirred up considerable controversy within the BJP. Urmila, who claims to be the former MLA’s wife, mentions alleged VVIP names connected to the Ankita Bhandari murder case in the audio.
The appearance of BJP National General Secretary and Uttarakhand in-charge Dushyant Gautam’s name in the viral audio has also caused a stir among the party’s top leadership. Regarding the matter, Dharmendra Kumar, the state president of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth, had filed a First Information Report (FIR) three days ago at the Bahadrabad police station against the former MLA and Urmila Sanawar, alleging that they had made false accusations to defame him. Investigating officer and Station House Officer Ankur Sharma confirmed the issuance of the notice, stating that if there is any evidence to support the allegations, it should be presented to the police.
