In Uttarakhand, the Congress party is staging protests in various locations to demand justice for Ankita Bhandari and is targeting the BJP government. Congress state president Ganesh Godiyal alleged that the BJP government is protecting the VIPs involved in the Ankita Bhandari murder case. He stated that the Congress party’s fight will continue until a CBI inquiry is conducted and the names of the VIPs are made public.

During a press conference held during the ‘Save Justice’ march in Rudraprayag, Godiyal said that the situation regarding women’s safety in the state has become alarming. He claimed that women are unsafe under BJP rule and that a state of lawlessness prevails in the state. The Congress party is fighting for the honor and safety of women in protest against this situation. He alleged that instead of taking action against the culprits, the BJP is burning effigies of Congress leaders.

Ganesh Godiyal said that before burning effigies, the BJP should take strict action against those involved in the murder. He also said that the BJP will have to bear the consequences of this kind of politics. The Congress state president clarified that the Ankita Bhandari murder case has no connection to the upcoming elections. He said that since the day this heinous incident occurred, the Congress has been demanding action against all the culprits. He added that even BJP office-bearers are resigning from the party and demanding a CBI inquiry into the matter, which raises serious questions about the government’s role.

It is worth noting that this case has been making headlines in state politics following an audio recording allegedly involving former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore’s wife, actress Urmila Sanawar. This recording allegedly names a VIP connected to the Ankita Bhandari murder case, along with several senior BJP leaders. This has sparked widespread outrage among the people of Uttarakhand. Political organizations and citizens are demanding an impartial investigation and a CBI inquiry into the Ankita murder case.
