Uttarakhand: On the occasion of National Youth Day, CM Dhami felicitated women’s and youth groups for their commendable work

On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami awarded women’s and youth groups for their commendable work in various fields at the Parade Ground in Dehradun on the occasion of National Youth Day. The groups receiving first, second, and third prizes were awarded Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 50,000, and Rs. 25,000 respectively. The Mahila Mangal Dal (Women’s Welfare Group) of Dhapla, Nainital, received the first prize, the Mahila Mangal Dal of Sema, Chamoli, received the second prize, and the Mahila Mangal Dal of Banali, Tehri Garhwal, received the third prize. Similarly, the Yuva Mangal Dal (Youth Welfare Group) of Mokh Malla, Chamoli, received the first prize, the Yuva Mangal Dal of Sundarpur Raikwal, Nainital, received the second prize, and the Yuva Mangal Dal of Chaudirai, Champawat, received the third prize. In addition, the winners of the speech competition and the NSS Award-winning youth were also honored. On this occasion, the NSS presented a check of Rs. 2,24,320 to the Chief Minister for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda, saying that Vivekananda was a visionary sage who rekindled the consciousness of cultural nationalism within a nation shackled by the chains of subjugation. His historic address in Chicago not only introduced the Western world to India’s spiritual strength but also conveyed the message to the entire world that the welfare of all humanity lies in the knowledge, wisdom, and values ​​of Sanatan Dharma (eternal religion). He had unwavering faith in the power of youth and considered them the most powerful instrument for the nation’s resurgence.

The Chief Minister said that no nation can develop economically, socially, politically, and culturally until its youth are organized, self-reliant, and inspired by the spirit of nationalism. Youth power is the greatest asset of our nation, which, with its hard work, talent, and determination, has the potential to realize the dream of a strong, prosperous, and self-reliant India. With the right direction and guidance, this energy will not only enable the country to emerge as an economic superpower but also re-establish it as a world leader. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working towards realizing the vision of a developed and self-reliant India. Today, through numerous schemes such as Startup India, Skill India, Digital India, Make in India, Fit India, and the New Education Policy, opportunities are being provided to the youth according to their talent and potential. The state government is also working with full commitment to empower, enable, and make the youth self-reliant. Efforts are being made to encourage a startup culture in the state through the new startup policy. Through schemes like the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme, Chief Minister’s Youth Promotion Scheme, Chief Minister’s Skill Development Scheme, and Deendayal Upadhyaya Rural Skill Development Scheme, the youth are being provided with training and technical support, along with financial assistance.

The Chief Minister said that the employment landscape is changing rapidly. Due to technological innovation and global changes, new employment opportunities are emerging while older ones are disappearing. Therefore, we must prepare our youth for the future. The Chief Minister said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has been a land of eternal culture, consciousness, philosophy, and spirituality. Swami Vivekananda also meditated and attained enlightenment in various parts of this sacred land of Uttarakhand. The government has identified all these places and decided to build a Swami Vivekananda Corridor in the state.

Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Rekha Arya, said that Swami Vivekananda was a man of multifaceted talent. He established the supremacy of eternal values ​​and Indian culture in the world. His teachings and the spirit of nationalism will always inspire us. Rekha Arya said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, work is being done in every sector in the state to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. MLA Khajan Das, Special Principal Secretary of Sports Amit Sinha, and Director of Sports Dr. Ashish Chauhan were also present on this occasion.
