Uttarakhand: CM Dhami inaugurated the Uttarayani Kautik fair in Khatima and announced from the stage the construction of a hill development building and financial assistance for the Uttarayani fair

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Uttarayani Kautik Fair, organized by the Kumaon Cultural Upliftment Forum, Khatima, at the Seed Corporation premises by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Chief Minister announced that a Hill Development Building would be constructed, and he instructed the District Magistrate to identify suitable land for the purpose. He also announced that the Uttarayani Fair would be included in the official calendar and would receive financial assistance. Responding to a request from the committee, he also announced the construction of a stage. The Chief Minister said he was happy that through events like the Uttarayani Kautik Fair, the younger generation is connecting with its roots.

He added that when children dance to the tunes of traditional musical instruments, young people sing folk songs, and our mothers and sisters participate in the festivities dressed in traditional attire, it strengthens the belief that our cultural heritage is in safe hands. The Chief Minister further stated that his government has taken several important steps to strengthen infrastructure in Khatima, including in the areas of health, education, and drinking water.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a public Lohri celebration at the residence of Sumit Gumber in Nagla Tarai Road, Harshu Enclave. He extended his greetings and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Lohri. Present at the event were Mayor Deepak Bali, Vikas Sharma, Municipal Council President Ramesh Chandra Joshi, Minister of State Uttam Dutta, former MLA Rajesh Shukla, Dr. Prem Singh Rana, Block Head Sarita Rana, District President Kamal Jindal, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Senior Superintendent of Police Manikant Mishra, VC Jai Kishan, Chief Development Officer Divesh Shashni, Additional District Magistrate Pankaj Upadhyay, Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Uttam Singh Negi, CMO Dr. K.K.
