Action will be taken against those who damaged government property: DM
District Magistrate Prateek Jain clarified the situation, explaining that there were three routes available for the palanquin’s entry. The administration had offered the temple committee two of these routes as options, but despite this, the palanquin proceeded through the third route. The gate through which the palanquin entered had an overhang.

The palanquin chooses its own path
Due to the overhang, the palanquin refused to enter through that route, after which the devotees present at the site broke the overhang. The temple committee, however, claims that the palanquin does not follow anyone’s instructions but chooses its own path. The committee claims that this is why the palanquin chose the third route and entered the temple premises through that path.
