The final budget session of the fifth Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will be held in Bhararisain, Gairsain. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami officially confirmed this, stating that all government preparations have been completed and the budget session will be held at the designated location in Bhararisain.

After returning from his Delhi visit, CM Dhami said that there was a proposal to hold the budget session in Gairsain last time as well, but maintenance work was underway in the assembly building at that time. Due to this, the session had to be held in Dehradun. However, this time there are no such technical or administrative obstacles, and the government has clarified that the budget session will be held in Bhararisain.
Budget may increase by 10 to 15 percent
According to sources, the upcoming 2026-27 budget may see an increase of 10 to 15 percent compared to the previous year. It is believed that the government may give special emphasis to development schemes, infrastructure, roads, health, and proposals related to rural areas in this budget.
Minister Rekha Arya gives a major suggestion
Minister for Women Empowerment and Child Development, Rekha Arya, has given a significant suggestion regarding the budget. She has written a letter to Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan advocating for the allocation of 30 percent of the upcoming budget as a gender budget. The minister says that large-scale investment is needed to make the women of the state economically and socially self-reliant.
When will the final budget session of the Assembly be held?
Sources say that the 2026-27 budget session may be held about two weeks after Holi. Although the official date of the budget session has not yet been announced, political and administrative activity has intensified after the confirmation that the session will be held in Gairsain.
