Uttarakhand: Senior Forest Guard of the Land Conservation Department, was awarded by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests

On January 26, 2026, Shri Jeevan Kandpal, Senior Forest Guard of the Land Conservation Department, was awarded by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Uttarakhand, Dehradun, for his commendable work in the management of the Forest Panchayat

Within Nainital district, out of 490 forest panchayats, 343 are located within the jurisdiction of the Land Conservation Forest Division, Nainital. Proposals for the management and development of these forest panchayats are prepared under the direction of the Divisional Forest Officer, Land Conservation Forest Division, Nainital. Coordination is also maintained with the Revenue Department regarding these forest panchayats. The process of uploading the area maps, land records, and other relevant documents of the forest panchayats to the departmental website has also been completed by them.
