A case of alleged fraud has come to light in Kandoli, under the jurisdiction of the Premnagar police station, during a property transaction. Hariom Sehgal, a resident of Kandoli, has accused Jasveer Kaur Anand (alias Sonia Anand) and another individual named Anand of failing to make the agreed-upon payment and issuing cheques that subsequently bounced. Given the gravity of the complaint, SSP Pramendra Doval has entrusted the investigation to the SP (City).

According to Hariom Sehgal, he was compelled to sell his property located in Khudbuda Mohalla to Jasveer Kaur Anand (alias Sonia Anand) on June 21, 2021. He alleges that on the day of the property registration, the accused party took some cheques from his possession and provided other cheques in return, which later bounced. The complainant states that the agreed-upon payment for the property has yet to be made.

The complainant further alleges that even after legal proceedings were initiated, the accused party—leveraging their influence—failed to appear in court. Subsequently, in 2024, the case was transferred to Dehradun following an order from the Supreme Court. In his complaint, he also claims that Sonia Anand Rawat maintains bank accounts in three different names across various banks.

Allegations of Forcible Eviction and Tampering with a Sealed Property

Hariom Sehgal alleges that on January 30, 2022, acting at the behest of a former minister, certain individuals forcibly evicted him from the property and took possession of it. He further claims that the seal placed on the building by the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) in 2018 was also allegedly broken in an unlawful manner.

The complaint also accuses former minister Harak Singh Rawat of illegally encroaching upon surrounding land—including forest land—to construct a road. These allegations have been leveled by the complainant.

SSP Assigns Investigation to SP (City)

SSP Pramendra Doval confirmed that a complaint has been filed by Hariom, a resident of Kandoli. The complaint alleges that Jasveer Kaur Anand, alias Sonia Anand—who purchased a house from the complainant—failed to make the payment, and the cheques she issued subsequently bounced. According to the SSP, given the seriousness of the matter, the SP (City) has been tasked with personally conducting a thorough investigation into the entire episode.
