Nepal: Madhav Kumar Nepal denied the possibility of joining the government, the first session of Parliament on January 9
Former Prime Minister of Nepal and President of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal on Monday refused to join the CPN (Maoist Centre)-led government headed by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. Nepal held a meeting on Monday, in which he said that the CPN (Unified Socialist) will move ahead in the interests of the nation and its people. Nepal said the party is doing well in the current political scenario and is not in favor of confronting or accusing anyone.
He asked the party members to understand the need to form a new political party as their efforts to resolve the problems within the party after former Prime Minister KP Oli dissolved the Parliament in 2021 had failed. He said the party would also review the latest political developments in the country.
