Uttarakhand / Sitarganj: The police went to nab the charas smugglers, then left the dreaded dog on the police and the attackers rescued the criminals

The relatives and neighbors of the smugglers attacked the two policemen who nabbed the bike-borne charas smugglers with sticks and rods. The accused also attacked a constable by provoking a ferocious dog. The attackers rescued both the bike riders involved in charas smuggling. On the complaint of the injured constable, the police have registered a case against 11 including smugglers under serious sections. Constable Kapil Kumar, posted at Sidkul Chowki, has alleged in his Tahrir to the police that on January 13, along with the constable, he had gone to Beat area Baruabagh to look for drug peddlers.

Two suspects were seen coming in the bike

As soon as they reached near the mango orchard located in the village, they saw two suspects coming in a bike. Seeing the police personnel standing in front, the suspects turned the bike. During this a suspect threw some suspicious substance from his hand. Police personnel took both the suspects into custody and seized the suspicious substance. Upon investigation, the suspected substance appeared to be charas.

After this, both the suspects started fighting and scuffling with the police personnel. The accused made noise and called the relatives and neighbors from the neighborhood. The accused reached with sticks in their hands. The attackers started fighting with both the police personnel. During this, the accused attacked the police personnel with a ferocious dog. The dog bit the soldier.

Before the arrival of the police force, the attackers abducted bike rider Indraram alias Raja, Ravi alias Bindri along with charas. On the Tahrir of constable Kapil Kumar, the police registered a case against Baruabagh resident Indraram s/o Harish, Ravi alias Binder s/o Surendra Singh, Surendra Singh s/o Amarjit Singh, Rajdeep Singh, Rahul Lal, Satpal Singh, Sintu, Kalokaur, Simarjit Kaur, Reena, Anita residents of Baruabagh. A case has been registered under sections like obstruction in government work, rebellion, serious assault, threats etc.

Sidkul Chowki incharge Chandan Singh Bisht told that two suspected charas smugglers along with other people attacked the police team. Along with rescuing the accused smugglers, they also took away the recovered charas. Efforts are on to arrest him.
