Sangam is the name of preserving the cultural heritage, this was said by the Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Riti Khanduri. She was addressing as the chief guest at the Sangam Milan function organized on Makar Sankranti on the occasion of the eighth foundation day of the Sangam Trust. He said that along with social works, today there is a need to save our cultural heritage, which Sangam Trust is doing very well. He said that today children need to be imparted good values ​​along with good education. Appreciating the works of the Sangam Trust, he talked about social service to the trust more strongly. Addressing the program, President of Sangam Trust, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari assured the Assembly Speaker that the objectives for which the Sangam Trust has been formed will be carried out with full sincerity. Regarding Sangam Trust, Secretary Dhirendra Pratap Singh told how Sangam has helped and is helping the needy people in adverse circumstances.

Treasurer Shiv Shankar Kushwaha kept the accounts of the trust. Sangam’s Vice President Sanjay Srivastava thanked all the office bearers and members who came from all over the state. Dehradun Municipal Corporation Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama was also present in the programme. On this occasion, many eminent personalities associated with education discussed the issues of prosperity and development of the state and wished the people of the state on Makar Sankranti.

Hundreds of people including Vice Chancellor Uttarakhand Technical University Professor Omkar Singh, Vice Chancellor ICFAI University Ramkaran Singh, Sangam Trust President Rajesh Tiwari, Vice President Sanjay Srivastava, Secretary Dhirendra Pratap Singh, Treasurer Shiv Shankar Kushwaha, Anita Saxena, Ravi Saran, Vivek Srivastava were present on the occasion. Many cultural programs were presented by Piyush Nigam, Byamkesh Dubey, Amit Jaiswal, Vikram Srivastava on this occasion. National poet Shrikant conducted the programme.
