Uttarakhand: Many teachers and students were found wearing hijab in the school, commission team was shocked to see the photo of former PM of Pakistan
After the complaints, when the Child Commission team reached the Bright Angel School in Jeevangarh for inspection, many female teachers and students were found wearing hijabs. The team also examined the records. Many shortcomings were found in this, including that the school was built on agricultural land. On this, the chairperson of the Children’s Commission gave instructions to form a high-level inquiry committee.
On complaints received against the school, the team inspected the school on Saturday under the leadership of Dr. Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of the Children’s Commission. During this the team searched the records of the school. Along with this, the team also took some documents along. The team also inspected the school premises, classrooms and offices. The chairperson of the commission said that prima facie the use of the school land has not been changed in the inspection. Also there is no building map.
Documents related to MDDA’s order for demolition and sealing of the school, stay order taken by the school on action have also been found. Apart from this, being near the National Highway, the school is dangerous from the point of view of security. Many girls and teachers were also found wearing hijab in the school. The salaries of the employees are also being given less. Barbed wires and electric wires were found scattered at various places in the premises.
Recognition of Hindi, study through English medium
Chairman Dr. Geeta Khanna told that the recognition of the school has also been taken through Hindi medium, while education is being imparted through English medium. The list of charities has also not been provided. During this, Commission member Vinod Kaparwan, Block Education Officer VP Singh, Law Officer Mamta Rauthan, Child Psychologist Nishant, Iqbal, State Coordinator of Bachpan Bachao Andolan Suresh Uniyal were present.

In the complaint received by the commission, it has been said that the date of proposal of the school, the manual is not according to the registered legislation. The building has been constructed illegally. Land use, salary of teachers is questionable. Muslim teachers are being paid more and Hindu teachers are being paid less. Muslim girl students come wearing hijab. Children are taken to a nearby madrasa to offer prayers in between classes.
