The government has presented the economic survey before the budget of 2023-24
According to the Economic Survey report, India’s economy will grow at the rate of 6.5 percent in 2023-24. At the same time, the growth rate of the Indian economy will be 7 percent in the current financial year. It was 8.7 percent in the financial year 2021-22. India will continue to be the fastest growing major economy in the world. Indian economy remains strong. Growth has been fueled by private consumption, higher capex, strengthening corporate balance sheets, credit growth to small businesses and return of migrant workers to cities. India is the third largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP). At the same time, it is the fifth largest economy in terms of exchange rate.
