Uttarakhand: Kidnapper arrested in Haridwar, minor raped in Pauri

Taking action in the case of the disappearance of a minor girl in Dharmanagri Haridwar, the kidnapper has been arrested. Not only has the police recovered the minor girl who went missing from Haridwar Kotwali area last week, but has also arrested the youth in the case.

According to the information received from the Haridwar Kotwali police, on 16th February, a resident of Bhupatwala informed the police that his daughter had gone missing from home. Even after searching a lot, no one has been able to trace him. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Kotwali Haridwar police started investigating the matter, then the police came to know that the minor girl was in contact with a young man for the last few days.

After which the police started searching for both of them with enthusiasm. Police investigation revealed that Shyamnath alias Deepak resident Jhabreda had abducted the minor girl. On Thursday, the police received information that the girl was not hidden by the accused boy at his house but in Rajni Devi’s flat located at Kanshi Ram Colony, Chaproli Road, Barot, Uttar Pradesh.

As soon as the information was received, a police team was immediately dispatched, after which the police not only arrested the accused kidnapper from the mentioned place. Rather the girl has also been recovered safely. Kotwali Haridwar incharge Bhavna Kainthola told that on the information of the informer, the police team has arrested the accused boy from Barot in Uttar Pradesh and the accused girl has been freed.

Rape of a minor in Pauri: On the other hand, a case of rape of a minor has come to light in a village under Satpuli tehsil area of Pauri. A person from the village raped the minor by scaring her. The minor himself informed the revenue police about the incident. On which the Revenue Police has registered a case against the accused under POCSO and other sections and is investigating the matter.

Tehsildar Sudha Doval, in-charge of Satpuli tehsil, told that the minor was going home from the farm of her village. Only then a person from the village forcefully took her towards the fields and misbehaved with her by threatening her. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a letter has been sent to the DM to transfer the case to the regular police.
