Uttarakhand: Rahul Gandhi found guilty of defamation, sentenced to 2 years by the court, Mahendra Bhatt said – Congress is insulting the judiciary by protesting

The BJP has termed the Congress’s agitation against the sentence awarded to Rahul Gandhi as an insult to the court’s decision and to put pressure on the judicial process. Reacting sharply to this development, party state president Mahendra Bhatt said, what can be a bigger hypocrisy than this, and their national president Kharge talks about trusting the court and appealing in the High Court on this whole incident, on the other hand the state There is a competition among the leaders to give arrests to increase their numbers. Answering the questions of journalists at the party headquarters, Bhatt said, after a process of 4 years, the Hon’ble Court has sentenced Rahul Gandhi to 2 years imprisonment after finding him guilty of defamation. But alas, after this decision, instead of being ashamed or accepting the mistake of our leader’s statement insulting an entire society, it is unjustified and cheap politics to agitate against the BJP. Their protests and arrests are directly against the decision of the honorable judiciary and an insult to the country’s judicial process. He alleged, today once again the hypocrisy of the Congress has come to the fore, because on the one hand its own national president Mallikarjun Kharge is talking about trusting the law and the judicial process in this matter and appealing in the higher court, while on the other hand his State leaders are protesting.

He said sarcastically, there was such a competition to increase the number in front of his high command that even those who were not seen together on one stage for years were also seen arresting together. Expressing surprise, he said that their leader should make a mistake and the court should punish him for that mistake, in such a situation, protesting against the BJP shows their negative political intentions.

Clarifying on this whole issue, Bhatt said, this decision has been given by the court only after giving full opportunity to Rahul Gandhi to present his point of view, so instead of protesting on the streets, the Congressmen should give such immediate benefits to their crown prince. One should be stopped from making hate statements against Wali or PM Modi. They should understand that Congressmen will not go to court on the pretext of slip of tongue or avoiding statements. Giving advice, he said, the people of Uttarakhand understand such drama very well, so it is better that Congress save its strength and logic for further legal battle.
