Uttarakhand: CM Dhami handed over appointment letters to 824 ANMs on the occasion of Navratri, 300 doctors will be available next month
Uttarakhand Health Department is constantly recruiting doctors and ANMs to meet the shortage of doctors and ANMs in the state. In this sequence, on Wednesday, a program was organized to give appointment letters to the newly appointed 824 ANMs of the state at the Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to all these newly appointed ANMs. However, during this program organized in Dehradun, appointment letters have been handed over to ANMs of Tehri, Dehradun and Haridwar. In other districts, appointment letters are being handed over to ANMs.
Plan to reduce infant mortality
During the program, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that mainly the work of ANM i.e. health worker women is related to pregnant women and babies. Therefore, along with this, all these ANMs have been asked to admit pregnant women to hospitals a week before delivery, so that the infant mortality rate can be reduced in the state. During the program, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that ANMs should motivate five people in their area to donate organs. Also motivate five other people to donate blood.
ANM will be posted in Chardham Yatra
Apart from this, the Health Minister has also given instructions to the ANMs to set up Swasthya Choupal in every Gram Sabha twice a month along with CHO and ASHA. This chaupal has been named as Mukhyamantri Swasthya Chaupal. A target has also been set to include 50 lakh people in the Chaupal being organized every 15 days. Not only this, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat requested all ANMs that whatever ANMs will be deployed in Chardham Yatra, they should behave better with the devotees.
ANM will be posted in hill districts for five years
Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that 824 women health workers, who are being given appointment letters today, will have to serve in the mountainous areas for the next 5 years. Therefore, before 5 years, do not make any source-recommendation for transfer. Also said that 171 assistant professors are also being appointed to improve the health facilities in the state. Under which 60 Assistant Professors will be posted in Medical College Almora, 60 Assistant Professors in Medical College Srinagar as well as 40 to 45 Assistant Professors in Haldwani Medical College.
Uttarakhand will get 300 doctors in April
During the program itself, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has sought time from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the first week of April so that appointment letters can also be given to 300 MBBS doctors who pass out in April. All these doctors will also provide services in the hilly areas only for the next 5 years. Because all these MBBS doctors have studied under the bond from the government. Therefore, if they break the bond, then they will have to pay a compensation of one crore rupees. According to the Health Minister, by the year 2024, MBBS doctors will be surplus in the state of Uttarakhand, although 300 surgeons and specialists will be required.
CM expressed concern over women’s health
At the same time, during the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the mother power of the state is moving forward in every field. The state government is determined to take mother power forward in every field. Also said that a big provision has been made in the budget to bring women forward. CM Dhami said that the problems of the people in the hilly areas are very different. So, ANM should solve their problems. Because it will give them virtue.
